Summerlin is the natural choice for healthy living because it offers so many activity-related options. The expansive Summerlin Trail System will eventually extend over 150 miles and runs through preserved parkland in every one of our villages, and Summerlin’s parks and playing fields (golf, soccer, softball, volleyball, T-ball and children’s play areas) are incredibly popular.

Summerlin residents seem to share an inclination toward healthier lifestyles and this active way of life is reflected in the programming and events sponsored by the Summerlin Council. Stop by The Gardens, The Trails or The Willows Community Center and check into the clubs and events they offer that are guaranteed to make your heart beat a little faster.
Community wellness is also a focus of the programs, classes and support groups offered through the Summerlin Hospital Medical Center: prenatal and postnatal classes and support groups; cancer seminars, support groups and a cancer information database; CPR and first aid classes and more. The Senior Advantage Program, a free benefit program for adults 50 and over, offers seminars and health fairs, a health information library that includes videos and printed material and free blood pressure screenings.
Summerlin residents never have to go far to seek professional medical attention. Over 200 physicians now practice in Summerlin, including board-certified M.D.s in more than 20 specialties. The Pueblo Medical Center and Summerlin Hospital Medical Center are just minutes away from any Summerlin village, and both offer residents convenient diagnostic and surgical facilities. Together, they provide two urgent care centers, diagnostics and a cancer and breast cancer center with acute, sub-acute and rehabilitative services. These two close-to-home facilities are able to provide complete attention to your health as well as education about maintaining it.
